Σκοπός του βιβλίου, μέσα από τις αναλύσεις και τις ασκήσεις που παρατίθενται, είναι να βοηθήσει τους γιατρούς, τους φοιτητές της Ιατρικής και τους επαγγελματίες στη φροντίδα της υγείας, με μητρική γλώσσα άλλη από την αγγλική, να βελτιώσουν τη γνώση και την κατανόηση της αγγλικής γλώσσας με έμφαση στην ιατρική ορολογία και στην ορολογία των επιστημών υγείας.
